Soon, we plan to have a telephone device that hears the conversation for you and displays it on a screen for you to read in real time. For those with mild hearing loss who can speak fine but have trouble hearing on the phone, you can choose to respond naturally. Or, you can choose to type your responses and have the telephone read your response to the other person. No more third party operators to have to work through.

For the international traveler:

Whether on vacation or business, imagine having a device that listens to the world around you and translates everything it hears to your language of choice. Then, when you are ready to respond, it listens to your speech, translates your message and then broadcasts it in the native tongue of those you are speaking to.

We are putting together a business plan for a company to do just those things. We are calling this proposed company Visually Speaking. Visually Speaking will take over the development of the innovative products coming out of our research into Speech Recognition and Language Translation and commercialize these products. Visually Speaking's goal is to bring the world closer together by breaking down communication barriers imposed upon us by differences in language and by physical disabilities such as hearing loss. We are developing voice recognition and language translation products and services for both business and consumer use that will allow us to have real time communication across the world no matter the languages of the parties involved. For those with hearing loss and speech disabilities, voice communication will be transformed into written word in the language of your choice and the typed response will be transformed back into spoken word in real time.
